CFB Stadacona is one of two downtown bases located in Halifax. CFB Stadacona is located off of Gottingen Street and has an entrance from North St as well. The hotels listed below are all within a 20-25 minute walk to the base.

Delta BarringtonThis fine hotel is located directly on Barrington St., actually just across the street from the downtown shopping mall Scotia Square. Around the block from here on the opposite side of the hotel is the Sheraton Casino, and waterfront. This hotel is approximately 7 blocks from Spring Garden Rd. the well known and much walked street in the south end of the city; featuring shops,eateries,and another mall, which houses movie theatres and some find shops, etc. Up the tall hill just up from this hotel on Duke St is the Metro Centre and, the Citadel Hill,another popular tourist attraction. Again, bars,more eateries are all very accessible and in abundance from this hotel's location. Ask your bellhop or take a nice stroll down to the waterfront from your room and you can book on several of the harbor tours running daily throughout the summer season.

SheratonSurely a popular hotel given its very close proximity to the Casino. Actually in staying here, you are literally a step away from the casino, as both premises reside within the same complex; located directly overlooking the waterfront on Upper Water St. There is definitely a feeling of excitement entering through their front doors upon hearing those bells and slot machines playing away. A very spacious lobby gives way to the front desk on your left, and the casino entrance directly straight ahead from there. This hotel is about as close to the water front as one can get. Again, nice and close to the waterfront for easy walking and taking in the numereous shops,cafes,eateries woven throughout the area. Walking to the downtown nightclubs,restaurants from this location would be simply a matter of minutes.

Prince GeorgeThis classy hotel is located one street down from Brunswick st., directly next to the Metro Centre. It basically takes up one block within the downtown core. Very close to the Citadel Hill,about 3 blocks from Spring Garden Road area, and within walking distance of many of the downtown shops,eateries,night clubs and tourist spots. This hotel is approximately a 20 minute walk to the CFB Stadacona base.
