The city has several hospitals. Our newly opened QEII Health Sciences Centre is located up from the Spring Garden Rd area, about a 10 minute walk. The old Halifax Infirmary is located just off of Spring Garden Road moreso located near the south end, downtown area. The Maternity Hospital is quite close to the QEII. The older Victoria General Hospital is located just a minutes walk from Spring Garden Rd as well. The Children's Hospital is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Spring Garden Rd area.


Holiday Inn This hotel is located on the corner of Robie and Quinpool Road. It is quite close to all the major hospitals in the city, and at most a 10-15 minute walk. This is a rather large hotel, which would give a fantastic view of the city from the higher floors. It is directly acrross the Commons, a well known spacious park if you will, ideal for walking,playing sports. There is also a playground area specifically for the younger children. Popular restaurants,cafes,fast foods are all within walking distance-- Macdonalds,Wendy's KFC,Donair shops to name a few. The Downtown area is at most a 20 -25 minute walk from this hotels location. The cities largest hospital The QEII Health Science Centre is no more than a 5-10 minute walk depending on which route you take.

The Lord NelsonThe Lord Nelson if located on the corner of Spring Garden and South Park Street. This hotel is easily accesible and within walking distance of all the hospitals. Again, depending on which route taken and speed of walk, it is approximately a 15-20 at most,walk to all hospitals. It is convenient in that is sits on Spring Garden Rd, and is extremely close to many services,anemities,movie theatres,a mall,and other entertainment spots. Buses run every 10 minutes up and down Spring Garden Rd as well.
