Spring Garden Rd is probably one of the most busy streets in Halifax, evident daily by continual streams of people,students,workers, and the like. The citys' largest universities are quite close to this area and students are seen daily along the route. As well, the cities general Law Courts are located on this street,and the Public Library directly across from the courts.
There is many cafes,eateries,fine shops, and nic nac shops along the route as well. Although fast food outlets are not in abundance in this area, you will easily find KFC, and Harvey's. If your looking for a good movie, Park Lane Mall has several movie theatres running movies daily. This street is no more than a 10-15 minute walk to the downtown core,waterfront,casino.
